Ms. Shamima Ahmed passed the Secondary School Certificate Examination in 2007 and then Higher Secondary Certificate Examination in 2009. Ms. Ahmed obtained her B. Sc. (Hon's) in Food Science and Technology in 2014 from Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh, and stood second in merit position (3.93 out of 4.00). She also obtained her MS degree in Food Processing and Engineering under the Department of Food Processing and Engineering from the same University in 2017 and stood second in merit position (3.88 out of 4.00). She achieved the Deans' Award for her outstanding result in the undergraduate program. She published twelve (12) scientific articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals. She has immense interest to work in the evaluation of the effects of malting and fermentation on cereal-based food products, mycotoxin determination from food substances, heavy metals detection in food products, biopreservation of foods, microbiological analysis of foods, Dietary management in obesity, etc. She has been selected as MEXT scholar 2021 (Japanese Govt. Scholarship) for her Ph.D. study in Japan. Now she is studying Ph.D. at Osaka Metropolitan University, Osaka, Japan.
