The Department of Bioprocess and Genetic Engineering at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) is dedicated to deliver high-quality education and to conduct impactful research across a broad range of disciplines within biotechnology and genetic engineering. The department offers a range of core courses that are designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and practical skills. These include Basic Biochemistry, Animal and Human Physiology, Fundamentals of Genetics, Plant Breeding, Forensic Biotechnology, Fisheries Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, Endocrinology and Neurosciences, Immunology, Virology, and Nutraceuticals and Functional Foods.
In addition to these courses, the department also provides courses such as Physics, Bangladesh Studies, Introduction to Programming, and Fundamentals of Computer and IT, Technology Transfer and IPR, Entrepreneurship in Biotechnology, Research Methodology, fostering a well-rounded education. This diverse educational framework ensures that our graduates are well-prepared for a variety of career paths in biotechnology, research, and industry.
The department is comprised of three highly motivated faculty members who are passionate about advancing the field of biotechnology and genetic engineering committed to foster a culture of academic excellence.
