Zarin Tasnim is an emerging researcher and a dedicated faculty member at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Bangladesh, renowned for her expertise and dedication in the fields of 'Molecular Biology' and 'Cancer Biology'.
She began her academic journey with a bachelor's and master's degree in 'Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology' from the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Driven by a passion for 'Molecular and Cancer Biology', she pursued her Master's Degree with a thesis entitled 'A cross-sectional case-control study on APC gene polymorphisms and BRAF gene mutations for their association with colorectal cancer among Bangladeshi patients'.
She post-graduated from there in January 2023, supported by the prestigious 'National Science and Technology (NST) Fellowship awarded by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, a testament to her academic excellence and commitment.
Zarin had the highest CGPA in B.Sc. (hon’s) across all departments within the Biological Sciences Faculty of the University of Chittagong, earning her an honorary University Grants Commission (UGC) merit scholarship in 2020.
She participated in several national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops to improve her theoretical knowledge.
The work of Zarin Tasnim straddles the boundary between cutting-edge research and practical application, significantly advancing the current understanding of the molecular causes of disease, its conditions, its models, and its potential therapeutic possibilities to improve the care of the living world.
Her work as an inspirational mentor and academic rigorist at CVASU is defined by her ability to nurture the next generation of scientists and industrial biotechnologists.
