Ishrat Zahan Anka has been working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Aquaculture at Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University since 2013. Recently, she completed her PhD as a Commonwealth Scholar from Swansea University in the UK, and earlier she has obtained Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (offered jointly by three internationally renowned universities; University of Highlands and Islands -(SAMS), UK; University of Crete (UoC), Greece and University of Nantes (UoN), France) in Aquaculture, Environment and Society. The program was fully funded by the European Union through the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship. She has gained a truly global aquaculture perspective and international network in the process of her personal and professional skills. Ms. Anka has been continuing her research work since her early career focusing on emerging fish health issues and management, fish disease, and environmental impacts due to aquaculture practices.
