Mr. Didar Hossain currently joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Industrial Biotechnology under the Faculty of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering at Chattogram Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU), Hathazari campus since June 2024. His academic journey with distinction in both the B.Sc. (3.76/4.0) and MS (3.88/4.0) in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology serves as a testament to his commitment to excellence. He was actively involved as a research associate in Microbiology, Fermentation, and Environmental Biotechnology Laboratory, SUST on a project with the goal of providing a solution to one health challenge and a novel alternative to existing antibiotics . His academic excellence, activity in the scientific community, and prior research experiences collectively form a robust foundation in research design and interpretation.

Motivated by a commitment to academic excellence and a multidisciplinary foundation in pathogenesis, analytical chemistry, and microbiology, his research interest lies on advancing the fields of microbial biotechnology and the mechanisms underlying infectious disease progression. Furthermore, his aim is to become professional role model and potential mentor who can provide guidance,feedback and support to his student.
