Meherunnesa Chowdhury Sumy is an academician with interests in teaching, research and training. She has completed her PhD in Agricultural Economics and received MS in Agricultural Economics (Production Economics) degree from Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. She also completed B.Sc. in Agricultural Economics degree from the Bangladesh Agricultural University.
She joined as a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Social Sciences, Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU) in 2008. Currently, she holds a position of Professor in the same department in CVASU. Her research interest is in the areas of advanced economics and marketing of livestock and their products.
Meherunnesa Chowdhury Sumy has a track record for high-quality research as evidenced by publications in different peer reviewed journals. She has got Bangabandhu Science and Technology fellowship for doing her Ph.D. She also got a research fellowship from Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) for MS degree and University Merit Scholarship from University Grant Commission for her brilliant result in undergraduate.
